    I'm pretty sure the only NTN bearings I can find here in the USA are fake. There are some distributors, but they seem super expensive or only bulk orders? I just need two bb30 6806 bearings!

    hey- great video. let's say hypothetically your ultegra spoke broke at the hub ( right inside that microscopic little hub nut). how would you replace it? i tried shimano part number Y4Ck89000 and it sorta works except it's about twice as long and the dust cap won't sit fully flush.

    I use these rings with a YBN sla 11 speed chain. Are you using a DuraAce chain? If so, that chain is optimized to use DuraAce chainrings. Just sayin...

    I didn't realise the heel lugs were replaceable and bought a new pair of shoes. Doh! The lugs were really bad on this shoe... Really really bad.... The rest of the shoe was brilliant. I kept them and now use them on the trainer.

    I did build mine by playing it like a Harp. Took a bit longer though since it was also my first time but it was not that hard and a bit fun to do to. I even checked the dish by laying it flat on a floor tile and it worked perfectly. I then just bought a cheap china made tension meter and I only had very minor changes done. I managed to get an almost perfectly tensioned wheel I think hehe. My only problem was I messed up the spoke length from 289 to 292 that made it poke through the nipples by like 3mm or more haha. I already tested it roughly on some hard rides and it held up quite well. I oiled my Generic Brand "Anrancee" Tension meter on the overlapping parts/spring so it reads better. I also sometimes get inaccurate readings when positioned vertical/reverse compared to just flat horizontal. I was able to get it to function and read better by letting go of the handle and pulling it apart to spread more and get maximum tension numbers.

    • @oiyo5124
      @oiyo5124 6 месяцев назад

      Anrancee spoke tension meter was just around 6 USD. Spring is shorter which I hope is durable. Parts are removable with allen wrench. It also has no adjustment bolt on the back.

    You forgot to show the internal section of the big plastic tube that the pedal shaft passes through. On the R7000 pedals there are 2 plastic internal seal sleeves and that is why the pedals develop play specially if one of your feet is not straight ( inward or outward pointing). They are 2 plastic inner thin sleeves and once they wear out the pedal is useless, even though there is nothing wrong with pedal metal and bearing assembly. I can not believe that no one has picked up on this it is such an idiotic move on Shimano to not have the bearing assembly longer and closer to the inner edge, it is so far outward that those internal plastic sleeves wear out quickly and you may get noise due to this. This happens only with a foot that is inward or outward pointing setup with the shoes, this puts an angled rotation force on the pedal body which wears out those thin plastic inner sleeves.

    Nice and detailed review. I just replaced my SI crankset for a hollowgram crankset with shorter, 165 mm crankarms. I would like to have the SISL 2 version but I couldn't find them in my lenght. There is a little bit of play in my new crankset, I think I been to get myself some 0.5 mm spacers. Cannondale does mention this in the documentation, but there were no shims in the original factory installation and the sizes are the same. Cheers!

    Asi to dělá kazeta na té volnoběžce. Zkuste tam dát nový ořech. Ty malé oděrky to nezpůsobují. Ložiska a západky také ne. Je zbytečně nákladné je měnit. Ten ořech není moc kvalitní, kazeta ho brzy znovu poškodí. Takže ten nový ořech je jen dočasné řešení. Pak to bude skřípat znovu.

    Anyone know how these would stack up to the DHB armwarmers? I've been pretty happy with mine. Keeps you cool and keeps you warm, especially when wet. For £24 the DHB ones feel like a steal compared to the £55 you would have to pay today for the Rapha ones. I do want to get the Rapha arm warmers for the sake of comparing them to the DHB ones, but from this review and from what I can see on their site, it looks like it's just stretchy merino in the shape of a tapering tube which is no different from the DHB arm warmers! At least with Rapha jerseys you get a brand specific aesthetic and for their bibs you get a Rapha chamois and straps (which I quite like), but these arm warmers; litterally no reason to spend more than double the price for the same thing.

      I use neither on mine but i regularly check the torque. Really no need for carbon paste since this stem is really machined to the 1000thstl. The handle bar just slides in with a plop.

The first set of bb30 from new lasted just over 12 months and the ceramic hybrid have been in for the last three years and thats around 4500m cross country winter riding and cannock chase and that's hard co components.

  • @l.d.t.6327

    instead of weighing 1 spoke with a possible rounding error, you could weigh all spokes and see if there's a difference. If there is a difference, it could be the nipple material. Maybe there isn't a difference, but you wouldn't notice if a DA spoke weighed 5.6 grams and an Ultegra weighed 6.4 grams, and you could still end up with 16 grams of total weight difference for 20 spokes.
